Well for God's sake - she tried to run out of the room, I put her back in bed, and she stayed. I left, and she called out for me a couple of times, Toby told her to leave. I said no, she had to stay. He told her, "well, if you're going to be in here, you have to be quiet." And she was! They both stayed in bed quietly and went to sleep. Amazing. ...beginner's luck...
Whoo hoo! That rocks!
ReplyDeleteYah, no such luck last night. Lots of crying from both kids, Toby slammed the door, Hazel wouldn't lie down with Daddy - but after a short lie-down with me in our bed, she did stay there by herself to fall asleep. A small success, to go with all the other difficulty. We can tolerate a lot, but it affects Toby if we let her scream. That's the dilemma.
ReplyDeleteBaby steps, baby steps.... I loved that reminder that part of the good stuff about roadmaps is that it keeps our expectations within the realm of reality! ;)
ReplyDeleteGood to have you back, D! hope vacation was fun!
